What Is Moxi?

MOXI is a fractional non-ablative laser treatment that promotes skin renewal and stimulates collagen production. Its advanced laser technology creates smoother, brighter, and more youthful-looking skin by targeting the deeper layers of the epidermis and dermis.

How It Works

MOXI delivers precise laser energy to the skin in tiny, evenly-spaced microthermal zones. This carefully controlled approach uses “fractional photothermolysis” to generate heat in these areas while leaving the surrounding tissue untouched. In turn, this heat stimulates collagen production and cell turnover for visible improvements in the skin’s texture, tone, firmness, and elasticity.

Am I a Good Candidate? 

MOXI is safe for all skin types and is ideal for individuals seeking a minimally invasive, minimal-downtime treatment. Good candidates may wish to address signs of aging, sun damage, a dull complexion, and/or pigmentation issues. Both men and women can benefit from this procedure and should be willing to commit to an initial series of treatments. 

Depending on your goals, you may also be a good candidate for other laser and light treatments, including HALO® laser skin resurfacing or BBL® Hero™. 

Your MOXI Treatment 

We will apply a topical numbing cream before treatment to keep you comfortable. You may feel heat as the device passes over your skin and delivers controlled pulses of energy. Typically, we only need 8 to 10 minutes to treat the face (excluding the time for the anesthetic to work). As a “lunchtime procedure,” MOXI is designed for comfort, convenience, and minimal downtime. 

Results and Recovery 

You may experience some redness, swelling, and mild discomfort after MOXI. These sunburn-like effects typically subside within a few days. Depending on the depth of treatment, you may see some dark, rough spots form. As these naturally slough off within 3 to 5 days, you will discover the fresh, healthy skin beneath. 

During your recovery period, keep your skin moisturized and protected from the sun. Avoid harsh products that can sensitize your skin. We recommend using a gentle cleanser morning and night. Although you will see quick improvements in skin quality, your results will continue to improve as your skin produces more collagen and undergoes a process of renewal. 

How Many Treatments Do I Need? 

We typically recommend an initial series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced at least a month apart. Your skin will visibly improve within the first week of treatment, but additional sessions will help you achieve more comprehensive results. 

Combining Treatments 

MOXI can be effectively paired with injectables such as BOTOX®, JUVEDERM®, and Restylane®. These treatments compound the wrinkle-smoothing effects of MOXI while adding youthful volume to new, healthy skin. To enhance the efficacy of your results, we also recommend investing in medical-grade skincare products to keep your skin vibrant and resilient.
